I attended the workshop on open problems in algorithmics “Anogia Algorithmica ’05” from 30th May to 2nd June 2005 that was held at the Anogia Academic Village in Crete.

8th Workshop on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC 2004) + Summer school

ECC 2004 is the eighth in a series of annual workshops dedicated to the study of elliptic curve cryptography and related areas. It took place September 20, 21 & 22, 2004 in Bochum, Germany.

For the first time the ECC workshop was be held together with a summer school on elliptic curve cryptography. This summer school was organized by VAMPIRE, the Virtual Application and Implementation Research Lab within the European project ECRYPT. The school took take place September 13-17, 2004, in the Ruhr-University Bochum.

I had the chance to participate in the Workshop and in the summer school.

Παρουσίαση εκδρομής στο Χάγκεν

Στις 3 Ιουλίου 2004, οι φοιτητές του προγράμματος Erasmus του Πανεπιστημίου Essen οργανώσαμε εκδρομή στην πόλη Χάγκεν στα πλαίσια του μαθήματος Landeskunde. Την παρουσίαση του διαδρομής και της πόλης πριν το ταξίδι ανέλαβα να παρουσιάσω εγώ στα γερμανικά στους συμφοιτητές μου :)

Θερινό Σχολείο Μαθηματικών 2002

Το Θερινό Σχολείο Μαθηματικών που οργάνωσε το Τμήμα Μαθηματικών του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης είναι ένα εντατικό πρόγραμμα εκπαίδευσης για ταλαντούχους προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές, ή πρόσφατους πτυχιούχους, οι οποίοι, προτίθενται να κάνουν Μεταπτυχιακές Σπουδές στα Μαθηματικά και τις Εφαρμογές τους. Στόχοι του Θερινού Σχολείου είναι η καλλιέργεια του ενδιαφέροντος για τις Μαθηματικές Επιστήμες, η γνωριμία με σύγχρονους κλάδους των Μαθηματικών και η ενθάρρυνση για Μεταπτυχιακές Σπουδές.

Πραγματοποιήθηκε το διάστημα 15-27 Ιουλίου 2002 στο Ηράκλειο και συμμετείχαν συνολικά 54 φοιτητές.

Είχα την ευκαιρία να έρθω σε επαφή με κλάδους των μαθηματικών που δεν είχα την ευκαιρία κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών μου.

IBRA '99 [World Philatelic Exhibition]

I exhibeted my stamp collection under the title "Wheeled Vehicles" (frames: 6850-6853) in Age group D at the Internationale Briefmarken Weltausstellung (IBRA '99) that took place in Nuernberg, April 27th - May 4th, 1999.

I was graded with 50 points and received a Certificate/Diploma (Beteiligungsurkunde).
