9th Workshop on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC 2005)

ECC 2005 is the ninth in a series of annual workshops dedicated to the study of elliptic curve cryptography and related areas. Over the past years the ECC conference series has broadened its scope beyond curve-based cryptography and now covers a wide range of areas within modern cryptography. For instance, past ECC conferences included presentations on hyperelliptic curve cryptography, pairing-based cryptography, quantum key distribution, AES, implementation issues, and deployments (e.g., cryptography for travel documents).

The workshop took place September 19, 20 & 21, 2005 at the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen.

There was also a summer school on ECC the week before.

I had the chance to participate in both events.

I attended the workshop on open problems in algorithmics “Anogia Algorithmica ’05” from 30th May to 2nd June 2005 that was held at the Anogia Academic Village in Crete.

8th Workshop on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC 2004) + Summer school

ECC 2004 is the eighth in a series of annual workshops dedicated to the study of elliptic curve cryptography and related areas. It took place September 20, 21 & 22, 2004 in Bochum, Germany.

For the first time the ECC workshop was be held together with a summer school on elliptic curve cryptography. This summer school was organized by VAMPIRE, the Virtual Application and Implementation Research Lab within the European project ECRYPT. The school took take place September 13-17, 2004, in the Ruhr-University Bochum.

I had the chance to participate in the Workshop and in the summer school.
